Big Problem

I can't continue with this software, because it's not very good after one use.

I use a Canon 20D and my recovered photo data is too small to use. The recovered data is incredibly pixelated and only usable as gifs. This means, essentially, that my photos were not recovered.

Please let me now how to go about getting a refund.

Work in progress

This program is generally well-executed. However, I had a problem with a 2GB corrupted SD card. The
program kept quitting without recovering the photos. Technical support was outstanding. These guys are
not native English speakers, so describe your problems without the use of contractions, slang, or figures
of speech. They bent over backwards trying to solve this problem, and I finally recovered all 600+ photos
which were recoverable. You should realize that with a smaller SD card and fewer than 100 photos, the
program worked just as advertised.

The program is a work in progress, and the next version will be even better. I know, because they sent me
a beta of v. 2.0 to solve my problem.

Ease of use

The software locates plugged-in (mounted) drives automatically. So it was literally one click to salvage my photos. I had reformatted the card before realising I had not backed up my photos. There were movies on the SD card to confuse matters. (It does not do movie recovery)

Mac photo recovery

The program does what it claims, documentation could be better explained. It is slow processing the files for recovery, apart from that it does all that it claims. I would purchase other products from the same company.

Canon Eos 350 CF error recovery

Hello everyone. We used a Canon Eos 350 in order to get some publicity
shots for a band and for some strange reason the memory card deleted/
corrupted/generally lost everything.

I hunted around on the net and found the Stellar Phoenix app. It's cheap, it's cheerful and it works. It's not the fastest program in the world, but then, it doesn't have to be. Plug your camera in, go and make a pot of tea. Leave it to brew (you don't like watery tea, anyway, do you?). Sit down with your tea and a book. Maybe the odd biscuit. Revel in your moment of calm.

When you've had your tea, go and check your computer. You should see a
good proportion of the pictures you thought you'd lost. Be aware that you may also find images of your mate who you lent the camera to last summer, so a broad mind could be a good thing here.

Anyway. We got some good pictures of the band. Now all we have to do is learn how to play our instruments.
